It's really interesting. It has changed, I'm sure, but I like the people who appreciated that there is a mix of old and new. I mean, people who don't still live there - who left - and complain that it's different...I don't know if they really know what they're talking about. They see the Davis Square and the college kids. They don't see the wonderful mix of kids playing on my street, riding their bikes, being kids. Some of the families have probably been here along time, others are new. It's people from all types, not just yuppies. It's probably safer NOW, especially in Winter Hill. I feel like the complainers - they don't really know Somerville anymore, of course it changes from your childhood - everything does.
