LJ friends in RSS feeds

Does anyone have a good way to put my LJ friends list into my RSS reader? I know that LJ doesn't have an internal tool to do this - any suggestions? Thanks in advance. :)

EDIT: I found a way to do this, but not with locked posts. Perhaps google reader doesn't support cookies?

Here's what I did: http://community.livejournal.com/howto/40882.html

AFAIK LJ doesn't support RSS for your friends list, but you can fetch each person's RSS feed.

The unlocked posts are available at:

http://dancer.livejournal.com/data/rss

Replace "dancer" with each username. For locked posts you have to have an RSS reader that understands the HTTP Auth protocol, at which point you use:

http://dancer.livejournal.com/data/rss?auth=digest

Your reader will prompt you for a username and password. Enter your LJ username and password and you should see locked posts. I managed to get this to work with Thunderbird and ... I forget the other dedicated RSS reader I was using (Owl maybe?). But at the time I couldn't get Google Reader to work (this was a while ago, and Google has progressed a lot).

Good luck!

I tried this http://community.livejournal.com/howto/40882.html
and it didn't work. Maybe google reader doesn't support cookies or something?

Ah, I didn't try that one because I didn't have a qualifying account. When you tried it with Google Reader, were you logged in to LJ in another tab or window? For the cookies to work, you may need to be. If that doesn't work, I'd probably chalk it up to Google Reader not supporting cookies... for all its nice features, it's still a pretty basic RSS reader when it comes to fetching the feed.
