Life

I just don't have a ton of time to write in here lately, but I'm trying to keep up with it. I am reading about all of you, my friends.

I met a friend at http://www.pranaraw.com/ yesterday, very neat! I imagine I will be back there again, it was quite the bright and peaceful place.

My Mom had a doctor's visit last Friday and they found a lump in her breast - its been two years since her breast surgery. She is in the doctor early this morning for a mammo, ultrasound, potentially a biopsy. Please keep her in your thoughts.

It will be HOT today, so please keep hydrated. I'm getting more into wearing dresses or skirts to work, mainly for the ease and comfort. Hopefully I can get myself into sewing again and grow this wardrobe. We stopped at Sewfisticated and Sew Lo on Sunday for a project Brian is working on, and I grabbed some stuff for a dress in Jodi colors - swirly blues and greens.

Anyone know if a good place to get good garment-grade leather-looking vinyl that's not $35 a yard?

I got mine at Denver Fabrics years ago. Since then they've changed up their fabric selections a bit, so I don't know if they still have any leather-look vinyl or not. I found, in my search, that non-stretch leather-look vinyl was pretty easy to find. It was the stretchy stuff that was rare.

Just a note though, if you're looking for cool clothing, vinyl doesn't breathe, since its plastic.
