Weekend
We were home on Friday and watched Factotum and Suspiria, and it was a good thing too. The rest of the weekend was quite busy!
Saturday was the last Rock of Waltham. It was fun to see free local music on the common and meet up with friends, but the fest was missing something this year. I don't know if it was due to the long quiet breaks between bands or the lack of a lot of friend's bands playing (though a few did). I will never tire however of watching little kids train to be hXc:

I did get to meet Frankie 3 and got a great picture of him - note the baby-sized ear plugs http://www.flickr.com/photos/dancerjodi/4832820688/ . Also, the ratio of bass to body on this kid was a riot, but the band was quite good http://quadratichorse.com/index.html .
We were invited by the http://risfc.org/ to come out to mingle at their http://www.cantstoptheserenity.com/, prefaced by a Dr. Horrible shadow cast from http://www.rkoarmy.com/ (that last link probably not work safe). We recruited and entertained for a short time and then changed out to see the show. Their poor Captain Hammer fell mid-show and broke an ankle and our friend Travis had to fill in for him, of all of his costume options deciding to go with Captain Hammer http://www.flickr.com/photos/dancerjodi/4832821192/ .
I saw Music Man with http://www.reagleplayers.com/index.html with some folks from the studio, all the while checking my phone for news of my new nephew! He was born around 3:45 and weighed in at 7.4 lbs (20" long), name still not determined. The poor guy is a bit purple from my sister only pushing twice and being a bit of a stress on him, but he's still gorgeous and cuddly. She does not look like she just had a kid http://www.flickr.com/photos/dancerjodi/4829195932/. After the show I had dinner with the crew and headed up to NH to visit with CD and Bob.
Another work week, albeit an odd one - I'm going to Cognos training Wednesday and Thursday. I hit the gym today and have the first summer ballet class tomorrow, so go me (or something). I want to make more of an effort to get some kind of exercise in each day.
Of course the best part of today was receiving another thank you card from our oldest nephew, in response to the mix CDs I gave him for his birthday. These notes just keep getting better and better:
