On rising early http://artofmanliness.com/2010/09/07/never-let-the-sun-catch-you-sleeping-why-and-how-to-become-an-early-riser/ . I remember my Papa waking early for work (he was a machinist in his own shop) and making toast with cheese for breakfast. He would always make extra and share it with me, cutting it up in rectangular slices. I liked the burned corners best, just like my bacon and my marshmallows.
