Nursery Pics

We're almost done! I have to buy a pillow set for our rocking chair, print some 4x6 photos for a frame hanging on the wall and decide if we want to paint a small bureau or not. Here's some pics (descriptions of things are in each pick):

I think it's hilarious that the cat is posing in half the pictures. so nice of you do put in all these new things for him to lay on! also: what a transformation of that room.

Ooh, that looks so nice...it's the kind of room I might've put together if Von and I had had a child. So I heartily approve! :)

So cute, and cozy! I love that you have parts of your whole lives in that room.

Side note: MR also has "Beep-Bop" (aka Vader) in her room now, thanks to "Carly," bringing her a present.

I adore the Lion painting your dad did! I also think it is neat how you repurposed a lot of things you already had and were super thrifty by planning ahead and finding stuff second hand. It makes for an interesting style that is not super over the top baby cutsie.

The nursery looks great!

I love the Feline Supervisor. ;)

Jayne's favorite place has been the top of that changing table (and it doesn't even have a pillow yet). We were curious to see how they would like the crib. Jayne went on it and Mal went under it. Jayne alternates between the crib and the changing table now. I am dying to see how they will react once there is a baby sleeping in there. :)

Yeah, we aren't in favor of spending a lot of cash on stuff that our kid isn't going to use for a while (or even be able to realize she's using, or remember she's using). We wanted to save the budget for the bigger/more important stuff, like our schmancy stroller (we still bought used, but it was a pricy item despite that).

Jayne loves sitting on the changing table. They were both excited about the crib. It is weird to see the room that was our bedroom and then was our craft room turn into a baby's room (with not a lot of effort). Weird. Brian keeps saying "there is a baby's bed up there?!" and we keep going up and looking in the room, kind of baffled. Not that it hasn't been real, but getting the room together makes it really real, if that makes any sense.

It has been a lot of fun to repurpose things and make it (hopefully) both hers and ours, at least until she's old enough to have her own opinion about it. :)

gorgeous room. very unique and very You. love the Dreams picture, the Lion, and the Empire Strikes Back. how cool is that?!?!

i love the old vs. new touches you've blended together. it makes it so warm and homey. love the toybox, too! it's in great shape! are you going to put your baby's name under yours? :)

anyway, it's perfect. it's just lovely.

I'm not sure what I'll do with the toybox . . . probably just leave it alone, since painting over the glossy finish would be a pain in the butt.
