Thank you for sharing this, it was a very interesting and informative read. My family has been considering getting a meat CSA for years. We do buy the bulk of our produce (supplemented by trip's the Farmer's market) and all of our milk and eggs from our local farm, Allandale Farms, during their open season. We get our tree from them, too! They close from December 24 until Spring so the head farmer can have a few months off down south before beginning the next season's work. We can't wait until they reopen in the Spring.
