Planning

We picked up our holiday cards this weekend (at the new Paper Store in Waltham, very cool place!). I want to do those, decorating Gram's gazebo, decorating our own tree/house, laundry, AND at least 4 hours of homework on Sunday.

We'll be out on Saturday in Fall River at the Harbor Mall doing a benefit for http://www.cfcinc.org/index.html . I'm wearing Brian's Royal Guard costume so that I don't have to answer "who are you supposed to be". After graduation I have to get myself to making a more cannon costume for the 501st. I'd love to be an AT-AT pilot, but it will take a while to get the helmet done (Brian's getting a damaged Tie helmet for free and will patch/alter it for me) so I may end up throwing together an officer's outfit for the short term. On the rebel front, I think I'm doomed to make a Princess Leia . . . I've got the hair for it after all!

I have 2 more classes left of school! I'm passing in my final paper on December 14 (Dammit! Only 12 days from now) and will be done. After that I'll go sign up at the gym and get some workouts in before Christmas feasting. I'm REALLY looking forward to this :)

Interesting

Our physician's annual meeting is today. Basically its a time for the head docs to get up and say a few words about the past year, talk about goals to come, thank people that have worked really hard throughout the whole process, and eat some really good shrimp cocktail (among other food that's really amazing, considering its made in one of our hospital kitchens). For future reference, the cafe at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital is the best hospital food I've ever had.

For some reason the co-worker arranging the meeting forgot to tell others in our group. The head doc called me to ask something (so he could prep for his speech) and I told him I didn't know what meeting he was talking about. He promptly called co-worker and said he wants us all to go if possible.

So it looks like I may be getting some good food for lunch (including the yummy shrimp cocktail) and may be getting embarrassed in front of a ton of doctors (as the doc waxes poetic about all of us and our hard work). That beats sitting here with my leftovers from dinner and doing homework!

Go to goffee tonight! Come on, you know you want to! ;)
