One week later . . .
One week ago our nation saw something tragic unfold as our own planes were used to kill many many innocent people. A media frenzy began and the only thing that we all could do was watch and discuss.
That evening B and I went out for Chinese Food; after watching CNN, various web sites and engaging in discussion and debate on various mailing lists and chat rooms I just needed to get away. And I didn't want to think of what to make for dinner.
In the restaurant we overheard a man at the bar talking about "damn camel jockeys, you know you need to ride a camel to get a job as a cab driver in New York"! Ah, a reminder of some of Waltham's finest backwards, closed minded old-schoolers. People amaze me in the fact that they forget that (most likely) their group was persecuted at one time by another.
Our fortunes from the cookies that evening:
"Strong and bitter words indicate a weak cause"
"Good news will come to you from far away"
"When winter comes heaven will rain success on you"

My heart goes out to all of the victims and their loved ones - whoever is responsible for this is a sick individual(s). But I just hope that we don't do something rash in retaliation and in the process make martyrs of those responsible and take on the role of the annihilator.
