Its weird. I'm sad of course because I loved her - she was like another grandmother to me (and actually, I probably spent more hours with her than with either of my biological grandmothers). What makes me the most sad is that someone that vibrant is gone from this world; there are truly not enough people like her out there.

Still, I'm glad that there are some people like her. She truly was inspirational.

And heck, I had no idea she used to dance with Bojangles! Not mentioned in there, she did use to perform with Bruce Marks (who retired from being Artistic Director of the Boston Ballet a few years ago). One of her past students is some bigwig on Broadway and choreographed the Harvard Hasty Pudding show a couple of times in the early 90's (quite an honor, since Harvard likes to switch people off each year). I was a really lucky gal to be able to dance with her!
