Re: cars and cat piss

"I know that pain to some degree. More than once, when life seems particularly stressful, the car will not start (or suddenly catch fire as once happened to me on the opening day of one of my plays!)"

Yikes! Thankfully *knocks on wood* I haven't had a car catch on fire. For a long time I was the queen of the piece of shit car so I guess it helps when I have problems that most times I know what they are. Thankfully, this is the first time this car has needed a tow in the 3 or so years since I've ahd it :)

"... and the cat piss ... the box must've been really bad for him to climb into bed"

Nah, he's just picky. He's had consistent pee problems (we had to get a special box with special litter and change it twice a week for him). Also, he doesn't like to touch the litter so he'll balance 2 feet on top of the box, and won't cover anything up. He had done something in there, hadn't covered it up, we hadn't shaken the box around to cover it up . . . so he was annoyed.

He's 17, diabetic, asthmatic and has a heart murmur but he's our baby, so we humor him (and keep a waterproof mattress pad on the bed) :)

"Cat pee fountain all over the oriental and pillows (and me)."

Yes, I love that definant look that they get when they do it. Its like "oh yeah? mess with me will you? well take that!".

"I think he was stressed about the up-coming change."

I know Max knows that something is going on with our stresses lately, the fact that we're not home a lot (need to stay away when people are looking at the house) and that all these strangers have been walking around in his house! I hope that the eventual move isn't too tough on him. He had a really hard time when we moved to Framingham and immediately gutted the whole inside of the house - he hid in our bedroom walk-in closet the whole time. Wherever we're going, we won't be buying a place that needs that much work so there should only be one room at a time (if any) that's not cat friendly.

"So, I don't know, carry on and be well."

Thanks! We'll be fine. If life was never a challenge it would get pretty boring (and we wouldn't have any accomplishments to show).

"however, I do love cat stories!"

Oh I have so many of them. Cats are such interesting (and neurotic) creatures - but I love them just the same (and sometimes actually *for* that reason too)!
