Well that was just silly

I just faxed a 12 page packet of stuff to the mortgage company. Once we get some things in the mail we'll need to sign and fax those too. Its funny how large the "Waltham Buy" folder is and how small the "Framingham Sell" folder is. Our homeowner's insurance policy for the new house is paid for, so the last huge $ suck will be the movers.

I get to go home tonight after work. I think I'm going to throw myself a party or something!

Painting walls
Paint is on sale this weekend at Home Depot - $3 off per gallon. I think Brian and I should go and get our stuff for the new house Thursday night (when the sale starts) before goffee. Given that we'll need 7 gallons of paint (at around $20 or so a gallon regularly priced) plus supplies it would be a good idea to save $3 on each one. These will go to my grandmother's garage so that we won't need to worry about moving them come moving day AND they'll be near the new house, so that on closing day we can jet over for supplies and get painting.

We're using Glidden paint (we used last time, was cheap but good quality) and will have "Proper Purple" for the upstairs bathroom, "Approaching Night" for the dining room (a gray/blue), "Evening Peace" (a gray/purple) for the living room and "Woodland Mystery" for our bedroom (a faded mint green/gray - the same color we have now in Framingham). Brian picked out a gray that he liked for the computer room called "Imperial Stone" (heh - Imperial, get it?) but we'll be buying that later on. Other rooms will be painted over time, colors TBD.

Stuff sure does add up fast - we'll need some tray liners, lots of drop cloths, some roller covers and some new brushes. We have a couple of trays left over from our last painting escapades but the brushes were complete crap. Luckilly too, we found a good amount of latex Kilz primer when we were cleaning and packing in the basement, so we won't need to buy any of that at first.
