Today's the greatest day I've ever known

Or not, but I'm excited about the weekend :)

I stopped by Hootenany last night to check out those white pleater boots - they are around $100. Gah! I don't want to spend $100 on boots I'm not crazy about. I need something for that groupie outfit though . . .

I'm getting excited about DC. I'll hopefully finish the trim on the stupid Padme pants tonight (I'm bringing them to goffee with me). Then I need to pose for photos with Brian so I can send them in and officially join the Rebel Legion (http://www.rebellegion.com/index.asp?IE=4). I can't wait to see how the Arwen gown and Mara Jade outfit look. Whee! Tiggerette and I talked briefly yesterday about clothes for Dragoncon - when she's back from her weekend we'll need to get planning (because there's not a lot of time left, so if we're going to be sewing something we need to operate at New England pace) :)

I'd check out Torrid for the boots. I own a red and a black pair from them, and they weren't that much.

Have you thought of making 'white pvc spats' to slip over a pair of boots you already own?

Dude, you know what this means?
That Tia needs to drag out her shopping foo and we blow a day looking at shoes. One of the hootchie stores MUST have them - and I can't believe they're $100!

The slip on covers are a good idea. If you do crafty stuff one day I was thinking about bringing my cross stitch over to work on, and act like I can crafty stuff too (which I can - with instruction *snicker*)
