I'll agree that Knome's source is a biased one (reading the URL told me that much).
Though, I also think that this is what Knome (and incidentally, myself too) have an issue with (quoted from your text): "Basically, women like to work under a ceiling of authority, provided that it is exercised properly. This is the way Jehovah God created them.Woman was made to be 'a helper for the man,as a complement of him'.(Gen 2:18)"
I do want to say, that I don't think this is a purely JW thing, since it *is* biblically based. Most Christian religious groups have a base with men in authority and women not (raised as a Catholic, I know that this is the case for that group - I know only a tiny bit about JWs from a friend's comments here and there). As a Sociologist, and a past student of the Bible as Literature (rather than a religions text), I know that for a long time there were socio-cultural and health reasons supporting this idea - it just worked (and propogated).
Times change though, and though I agree that this still works for some and I'd never criticize someone's personal choice, I don't think its the answer for all. I can see religiously how someone would live under this rule but personally, it just doesn't work for me. My husband and I enjoy a relationship where there is a lot of give and take on both ends, and I enjoy the same kind of relationship with friends, professionally, and with family. This lifestyle (for various reasons) just isn't compatible with a strict bible following Christian one (which is why I'm not an active Catholic any more, among other reasons). :)
Thank you for your thoughts! Religions do interest me quite a bit, and I do believe in God (in a sense, that's too complicated to really get into here).
