Our scale was on the fritz, so I picked up a new one last night at Sears. They had either the fancy Conair WW scales that you can set user modes for that also measure fat % and then they had a cheapie non-digital one. I bought the WW scale.
I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it measures to .2 to the pound (versus by 1/2 pound increments). It says my % fat is 23.4, which falls in the active range for women according to this http://www.healthchecksystems.com/bodyfat.htm . That's cool, because I'm no athlete by far (and the last time I had this measured was at the gym in Framingham, and they told me it was a big high). I know that the measuring through skin isn't the most accurate way to do it (calipers are), but at least its something. :)
I'm hoping to get myself into some kind of strength training routine. Its something I've wanted to do and still haven't managed. My upper and mid body strength leaves something to be desired. I'm curious to see if it has an impact on the % fat.

(Karma = in the middle of studying to be an ISSA personal trainer) :-) I wish I lived by you, you could be my first client!
physical training
That's awesome! I think you'd be great at that :)

That would so rock. Perhaps if I'm up in your neck of the woods again (or vice versa) I'll take you up it.
