Good idea on the budgeting, that should effectively bring down the amounts to where you're really paying. And socking away what you would have been paying gives you another $1000 somewhere savings wise.
I'm glad we don't pay for heat. Electric is pretty bad though, especially the last two months with my laptop and tv running more often. :)
