All of this free time continues to feel decadent. I know its a matter of time before life changes and something comes in its space, but for the time being I'm enjoying it. I miss having Brian around, but at the same time its liberating to not have another person nearby to plan around. The cat and I have reconnected in a way that we're not able to do when I'm running in and out all day. Its kind of like I'm 14 again, and he's keeping me company in my old bedroom while I listen to Metallica and get through pre-algebra homework at my desk (or sit on the phone chatting with Pete). Time is worth all of the money in the world.
Brian gets home tomorrow afternoon while I'm at work. It will be nice to see him for the hour or so after work, before I run out to dancing. I think we need to slow down to really appreciate how much running around we do, just like we need to be alone sometimes to appreciate the people we have in our lives. Life is too short just to pass through without pondering these things.
