Cat fountain

Mal pulled the fricket filter out of the teeny hole on the front, where the water comes out.

I don't know what to do with this cat. It's either don't use a filter or find another fountain that's Mal proof. :)

With the ferrets, not only do I have to duct tape the filter housing in place, but I also have to use 2 C-clamps to attach the fountain to a heavy wooden base, otherwise they will drag it all over the place and undoubtedly electrocute themselves with the sloshing water and electrical cord.

Actually though the model I use might work for keeping Mal away from the filter, it's a Drinkwell.

Wow that's too funny!! I don't use the filter anymore because it seems to make the flow slower and then George wants nothing to do with the thing. He likes the acidic tap water better than filtered too, so it doesn't get gunky as quick. But we've got a well so there's nothing you can do about that.

You could try shortening the filter and resewing it, so it sits further down in the resevoir where he can't reach, if it really makes a difference in the water quality. Or leave the filterout for a little while until he thinks it's gone, then replace it.

How in the world did he do that??? I don't see how the solid plastic frame in the filter would possibly fit through that little hole! I think you should have named him Houdini.

Boy do I have well behaved cats. :)
