Movies

Hearing about tonight's lunar eclipse reminded me of one of the spookiest movies of my childhood (and reminded me that I need to pick it up on DVD).

How come Disney doesn't make spooky movies anymore? Anyone remember "The Watcher in the Woods" with Bette Davis? That thing rocked! Looking to see if its on DVD in Amazon.com (it is) they also mentioned Disney's "Something Wicked this Way Comes" - man, another one I should own.

I think my sister and I had the former movie memorized we saw it so many times! I wanted a puppy so I could name it Nerak :)

I have incredibly hazy memories of a movie with an eclipse...

I've been getting bad chills for the past minute since you mentioned it...

"Ack...is that the one with the missing girl or somesuch?"

Yes, Karen (Mrs. Ellworth aka Bette Davis' daughter)

"I have incredibly hazy memories of a movie with an eclipse..."

She disappeared the night of a lunar eclipse

"I've been getting bad chills for the past minute since you mentioned it..."

Yes, it was such a GOOD and creepy movie :)

"must rent...creepiness...."

Look in the kids section of your video store, it seems like that's where they continue to keep it since its a Disney movie!

Cool

Hmmm... suddenly I have a new suggestion for a name for TBA :)

Sounds like an interesting movie. I seem to recall not having the attention span to deal with Watcher and Wicked when I was younger but lately I've been feeling like finding some creepy movies to check out.

OMG The Watcher In The Woods was one of my favorite movies growing up. I think I still have it on VHS somewhere.

"We was just playing a game"

"What game?"

"Ring 'round the rosies, it was."

gad, I loved that movie. It satisfied my creepy story /ghost story cravings..

how come people don't make non messy, non violent creepy ghost story movies anymore. I love em!
