Yikes

I was excited it was Friday, excited that I splurged on a dress I really wanted from Victoria's Secret (figured, could wear it to upcoming weddings and my 10th High School reunion). I paid bills, read the paper, and finished a really intense chapter in the Charles De Lint book I'm almost done with. Once I get through this one (Moonheart) and the one that follows it I need to start on "Return of the King" so that I can read it before seeing the movie (never did make it past "The Hobbit" and had to work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy before the movies came out).

And then I found out that Johnny Cash and John Ritter died. This makes me really sad. May they both rest in peace. I wish there was a way I could see old Three's Company Episodes, I wonder if they are on DVD or anything . . .

Ah well, what can I do? I'm going to try and be motivated to get stuff done this afternoon (despite the fact that I just want to be at home with my kitty and hubby in bed). I'm really looking forward to seeing Dionysia and Dionysios tonight though, and checking out their new swanky pad.

And I think I need a manicure and a pedicure, but life could be much worse.

I definitely share your sadness over the news of Johnny Cash and John Ritter passing. I was very upset thismorning after hearing the news. I was on my way to the nature trail for a jog after dropping the kid's off at school, and heard it on the radio, and actually couldn't even jog when I got to the trail. I just walked and felt very overwhelmed. I think it has a lot to do with everything going on right now (in regards to September 11th Memorials, etc.). So much sadness in the world. It can be devastating to focus on.

You are right though...we have to stay motivated somehow and keep going on.
