"I recomend the student center on the 3rd floor of the McCormack Building...down the hall from the entrance to the cafeteria (if it is still there). Nice comfy couches, sunshine (when its out) and an atmosphere that you can actually get stuff done."
And I won't need to listen to undergrads talk about how their professors are so UNFAIR because they ask them to do work? ;)
I'll definitely check it out, thanks for the info! Being a part-time grad student I never got any kind of orientation (and also, I started in the Spring Semester so I was already in the middle of a class). I have no clue what's around UMB. Simmons was small enough that you couldn't help to find neat places to chill (and they also had a really active orientation committee, in either semester).
You know, by the time this new student center opens I'll be almost done with the program! Heh :)
PS, Waltham is playing on 2/6 at Bill's Bar and Brian and I are planning on going, want to join us?
