Quotes of the Day:

More lyrics. I'm trying to find music appropriate for my Artemis dance (I figure, she's the goddess I keep coming back to so I owe it to her to dance her even if I don't fully identify with her aspects, I do identify with some like the affinity with nature and the less feminine maternal properties).

I was in the car on the way to school last night listing to Delerium's "Poem" and caught the lyrics to "Fallen Icon". Its a pretty song (though not my favorite on the album) and seems to speak a bit to someone taking over the role of Artemis/Diana - rather than being about *her*.

What do you people wise in the ways of Artemis/Diana think? The song is a bit long for a dance so I'd want to cut it down with Brian's nifty music software.

in a dark woods paved with snow living all alone
i forgot long ago what i'm looking for

firecracker lightning seed coming back to me

this is how
you made my heart a hunter

i remember my little seed louder than a dream
i let my golden arrow fly to the bottom of the night
no hounds to guide me no army at my back
i'm gonna stand up

firecracker lightning seed coming closer to me

this is how
you made my heart a hunter

sunrise burns my fortress down crumbling to the ground
i found my arrow my lightning spark buried in my heart
no hounds to guide me no army at my back
i'm gonna stand up

firecracker lightning seed it was always in me

this is how
you made my heart a hunter

Mmmm, s'a good song for her. (Diana, btw, is not a maternal figure at all. Huntress/virgin.)

"Diana, btw, is not a maternal figure at all. Huntress/virgin."

Ah, but she's a midwife and known to be protective :) (hence why I said "less feminine and maternal"
