Right . . .

The buyers of our house want to close earlier - June 16 as opposed to June 30, yikes! Ken is calling the sellers of the Waltham house to see if he's cool with that (he's guessing they would be, since they wanted to close earlier as it was). I just called Bill (the mortgage guy) to see if he'd be able to pull it off.

That's really weird - a little over a month away (as opposed to being almost 2 months away).

Its never a dull moment, I tell you!

do you still need moving info? i found my notes and have them at the ready at home. one big thing i noticed/remembered is that if you book midweek, and midmonth you get much better rates. weekends are premium times as is the beginning/end of months - rightly so!

Well, we will be moving mid-week (out on a Tuesday, in on a Wednesday). Now its looking like it will also be mid-month. Yikes.

You used Nick's, right? We're definitely going to call them and a couple of others to get quotes. Thanks!

Don't worry about typing stuff up :) Do you remember what you paid hourly (for how many guys)?

Thanks!

I've heard of those things - I think 3 weeks is the minimum (at least, that's what our realtor said) since it takes that long to get mortgages, appraisals, inspections, whatever.

Our situation is tricky since we have to close in Framingham first, have to have stuff out of the house in Framingham *to* close, but can't put it anywhere until we close in Waltham. It looks like we'll be emptying the house on a Tuesday night, storing in truck overnight, and then unloading the next day after closing in Waltham. Whew!
