Mmm

Lots to do today. I can't believe its Wednesday. Perhaps we should go to Manray tonight? Hmm.

I found my new song from the Waltham album. My favorite from the past few was "Nicole". I really like "Love N' Stuff" on this one. It makes me want to go cruising and parade the boardwalk at Hampton - or something. I want my Monte Carlo, dammit! http://www.pjsautoworld.com/1970cars/1979chevymontecarlo.html . This one's the perfect color, though I hate the hood style. I said I was going to get myself another one after graduation but life gets in the way, you know? Perhaps in another year or so after getting a new regular car . . .

I'll just focus on that and the music, because thinking of John Roberts on the Supreme Court makes me want to scream.

I think that's the first song I've encountered that uses my name, I should check it out.

"Nicole"

"I think that's the first song I've encountered that uses my name, I should check it out."

They have a thing about titling songs after women (or girls, as the case may be depending on when the song was written).

The Nicole song is very cute, though I think they only say "Nicole" once in the whole thing (at the end). The lyrics are kind of terrible if you just read them, nothing deep at all but a fun cruising along and singing out loud song :). It is on the new album not surprisingly . . .

RE that link to lyrics - there are a TON of typos in it and the way its written give no idea of how the thing is actually sung. Maybe you should just ignore them and give the song a listen yourself first :)

Yeah, the lyrics are a bit ... basic, I'll see about listening to the song next. :)

Heh, all of them are. Basically, take Rick Springfield and make him and his band members all better musicians and that's Waltham. Its 80's style rock/pop. All of their songs have something to do with lost love (or hopeful love). As a result, the lyrics are pretty simplistic for the most part.
