Remote Starters

I'm going to check them out today and possibly schedule a time to have that put in (with a CD player). Some poking online shows 3 diff ranges: 1000 feet, 1400 feet and 2000 feet. I have no clue what the price differential is for these guys, but, if you have a remote starter:

-Do you have any brand suggestions (to get or avoid)?
-Do you have any range suggestions?

I have no clue how many feet it is from my office to my car but I'm guessing the 1000 would do it. I'm just so bad at judging distances visually though!

my usual rule of thumb applies - buy the most expensive one you're willing to pay for.

the extra distance just means your heat is on that much longer before you get in ;)

But, how do you know how far you are from your car (i.e. how do you know if you hit the button inside of the mall that the car actually was reached?)

I'll ask them all that later - this is why I'm going to Rich's. They aren't the cheapest around but they sell all quality stuff and will do a good job with the car (heck, maybe Joe Perry will be there and I'll get to chat with him too!). I can kill 2 birds with one stone that way :)
