Satan's Sausage!

Some of you saw our friend Brian (Sandweasel) and then Tisana eat some of Satan's Sausage at Brian's birthday dinner this past weekend. The recepie is here (about halfway down):

I didn't even see the movie. Either way, I'm at work (and can't be watching movies here) . . .

The fact that it requires goggles and eye protection is just frightening. :-)

And oh, what I wouldn't give to be 8-12 again... How much fun would that Friendly's job be??

I checked out the full website for the restaurant and it looks good; but have you ever been to Red Bones in Davis Square? We love it...and I'm wondering how the two compare :)

I used to really love Red Bones, but we haven't gone there in a few years, because the last few times we did go the food wasn't as good as usual.

I'm not a huge BBQ fan so I'm not the best judge to compare. I like Jake and Earl's because they have a good selection of stuff, so its not all BBQ. I've never had any bad food there (though, a friend of ours on Saturday didn't have the catfish sit well with him).

Wow, the old hippie in me totally read that as "Seitan Sausage."

And the old metalhead in me has no idea what "Seitan" is, but I'm going to google it . . . ah! I can't believe I never heard that term when I was hanging around with a bunch of vegan sXe kids!

On a related note (to hippies, not vegans), Jake and Earl's has a Grateful Dead Sunday brunch. Brian and I ended up there by accident once (I got Scotch Eggs - so bad for me, but so good! http://www.britainexpress.com/articles/Food/scotch-eggs.htm )
