GREEN!

I've wanted to get a ring with an emerald green stone in it for my right hand. Green is my favorite color, and I wanted to treat myself to something (I'm not a big jewelry person, but I like to wear a couple of vintage looking things or things with sentimental meaning). After looking around at what was available retail and being unenthused I resigned myself to a long, casual search of estate stuff or, having a friend eventually make something.

Then a few weeks ago Tiamatlady and I were at a craft fair in Arlington to support http://www.teamwwo.com/ . One of the vendors had really pretty beaded jewelry, and had these funky beaded and crystal snake-like rings. I tried one on to find that it fit pretty well (I have small hands, and have a hard time finding rings that fit). I asked if she had any in green and though she didn't, she offered to make one custom for me. $24 and a week or so later, her husband dropped it off last night. Its so green! And shiny! I love it :) I'm glad its supporting a good cause too.

So today think GREEN thoughts! The weather will be nice and the weekend is here. Whoot!

Dude! If you want a beautiful ring with a green stone, why don't you ask J to make you one? I mean, she is a jeweler :) Plus you would get the friends and family discount.

Well come on over then! This weekend is tight for us.. we have a LOT of house work to do and have other friends visiting on Friday nite->Saturday but we are having a late dinner (@ 8pm) at a really nice local place. You guys could come out early and talk to Jess (she is home today) and I would be along around 5:30 or sooner. You would meet A&A too. They are very coolio.

Let me know! We'd need to change the reservation :)
