WW: I was at 22 points again yesterday (not bad, considering I went to the Olive Garden for dinner). I can't wait to pick up some goodies at the supermarket tonight. I realized that the last time I went to The Olive Garden was to meet a long lost high school friend. That's what I was there for last night too, and it was a good time.
VROOM:I'll be finally getting an oil change tonight. Hedwig will need some loving soon with a wash, vacuum (maybe Sunday if it isn't too rainy) and a 50k tuneup. Maybe next week we'll take her cruising Hampton Beach?!
$:Thursday is bills day, and I'm all caught up (with a little cash left for FINALLY buying "Detroit Rock City" on DVD, and ordering the "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" documentary). We'll have some serious budgeting work coming up with needing some roof repairs, and I want to get our porches painted (finally). We're pondering screening in our front porch so that we can sit out there and let the cats run free in that area. Wiring must be made proper/safe in some areas that have been neglected, and come fall we'll need to have a plumber do an overhaul of our heating system so that its less leaky and more efficient. Houses are cash sinks, but they can be fun cash sinks.

possible porch inspiration
Our back porch is under utilised right now, it's got too many paths through it (our back door, the upper floors' back door, and the stairs down from the other porches, as well as stairs up from the driveway). We've got a table out there, but don't use it often enough. I'd love to have a hammock but it would just be in the way - I need to find an easily folding one. :)
Re: possible porch inspiration
We're thinking of building wood frames and making our own full length screens that we'll permanently attach to the outside of the current railings/pillars (we've seen a bunch of similary styled homes in our neighborhood that have done it this way). We'll need some assistance from my Dad (el contractor) to help us frame a doorway, and install a screen door that can lock. The porch isn't huge, and can only really fit 3-4 people sitting, but it would be nice to get more use out of it and would give a place for our cats to have fun (they LOVE sitting in the windows).
Or, we'll get lazy and pay someone to do the whole thing (like those companies that build screen rooms). We still need to do some digging. We know that whatever we do, we have some boards to replace and scraping/painting to finish first before enclosing it in some manner.
