Grr

Our internet connection (at work) has been spotty this week, and I think gmail has been having issues too. After logging in and it trying to load for a bit I get an error:

"Loading...
This seems to be taking longer than usual.

If you are using a slow Internet connection, you can wait a bit longer for this page to finish loading, or just use basic HTML view for now.

If you are using your normal Internet connection and you usually get past this loading step without any problems, please refresh this page in your browser. If you continue to have trouble loading your account, please visit the help center for troubleshooting information."

If I log into the HMTL view I can see posts, but only the top of them - no scrolling or whatever. I can reply to mails in there and things are sending. So odd.

So if you need me keep your e-mail to one line long, or post here :)

EDIT - ok, I discovered that if I tell google to print the e-mail it opens it into another window that I *can* scroll down and see all of. Freaky.

So I'm wondering if its a weird google problem or something at my office. Given how we're blocked out of doing much to our computers, I can't troubleshoot much.

GMail has been behaving normally for me today... That's not much help, but it is an equally-firewalled, crazy proxy-type, independent internet connection to compare to.

I had that happen a lot on my home machine, Linux with the Mozilla browser. I could just use the html only version but had scrolling problems as well. I switched browsers and the javascript worked better. You could try updating your browser to the latest release (that didn't help me), or at least see if the problem is the same across all browsers at your site.
