Inara Serenity Costume update
Its been a good weekend for getting Inara costume stuff together.
Reference pic is here, from an old Prop Store of London Auction:

PJ pants I found at Target for $14 (they aren't as sheer, but I'm not so concerned about being *that* screen accurate):

Fabric I found at Joanne's yesterday:

Last week I picked up some stuff from Aveda to make curly hair curlier, and I'll give that a try when I think of it some point. Last night, someone also suggested doing rag rolling, and that's a good idea if I have to do more than just throw some product in to get the desired effect. I've also now learned how to properly apply makeup (finally) at a makeup party last night and I brought some good brushes today. Until the accurate velvet bodice is made I have a satin one in the right style from Frederick's of Hollywood that I can use. I'm all ready to be a companion! We should be debuting these at the 6/23 midnight showing of Serenity at the Coolidge.
