Placebo, Covers

I want the new Placebo "Covers" album. Its only available from iTunes.

I'll have to get my husband poking around on that int0rw3b for me looking for it. There's some really great ones on their: Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, The Pixies

If the hubby's Googlefu fails, I'm liking it a lot too, so I might try to acquire it. I don't really like THEM much, that Pure Morning song gets stuck, but that Kate Bush cover is strangely awesome.

I'm pretty sure you can buy stuff from whichever iTunes store you want, you just have to change stores at the bottom of the store window, and then (I think) open a new account with the other store. Worth a shot, anyway!

Cross-country iTunes

It won't let me (tried changing from US to UK). Its something about laws and different labels in different countries, and that kind of thing. :)

that's so weird! I can buy whatever I want from the US store from Mexico... I don't get why it won't let you buy whatever you want from wherever you want. Sorry, I had no idea!

Ok, here's a complicated setup for doing it semi-legally:

1) Get Tia or someone else to buy you a gift card in the UK.

2) Back in the States, find a machine without an iTunes installation or create an additional user in either Mac or windows to connect to bring up iTunes (so that iTunes thinks you're a first time user. Connect to the UK store

3) Use these instructions to set up an account with the gift card:

4) Download and burn
