Inara

There's a picture of the finished product in here. I'm not crazy about my expression, but I've never been a camera slut. I'm hoping we'll get some good ones Saturday night when I actually have makeup, and look more natural. Posed photos just don't work for me most times.

My fabric is a bit stiffer than hers so the top of the wrap doesn't sit as it should, still I'm happy with it. The pant legs are wider than they appear in the photo too (kind of palazzo width), they are just kind of thin so they are falling back.

Not bad for kind of thrown together. I may make some minor improvements on it but for now I'm happy to move on to other things. :)

Serenity will screen at midnight on Saturday, June 23. Proceeds go to Equality Now, and the Coolidge will be accepting food for the Greater Boston Food Bank. Tickets are $10.

Joss Whedon fans will have chance to rejoice thanks to Coolidge Corner's midnight screening of Serenity, the full-length movie born after the 2002 cancellation of Whedon's short-lived but much-loved show "Firefly."

The screening is on Whedon's birthday and will benefit his charity of choice, but people who don't know Whedon from a hole in a wall will have a good time. Even if you never watched the Whedon-created cult shows "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" or "Firefly," Serenity has a surprising amount of dry humor combined with its nonstop action.

You have almost the same expression on your face as Inara does in the reference photo in that outfit.

It looks great, nice job!

I meant to email you earlier this week, but I've had a rough week and never got around to it. I was wondering if you guys were interested in meeting up before the screening Saturday night. I don't actually have the slightest idea where the theater is, because I haven't looked into it yet. I'm hoping there's parking in the area, since it's so late, we can't rely on the T.
