From the Intranet:

Quote of the Day "It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." - Ursula K. Leguin

LeGuin is easily my favorite SF author.
She rocks! :)

I was wondering who she was.

How would you describe her work?

Hmm...definitely not hard SF. Not at all science/technology based. She focuses on society/culture and characters. Not as character-based as Heinlein though. Her father was a well known anthropologist and that is evident in her work (in fact she wrote a book that is basically an anthropological study of a fictional people in earth's future).

I highly recommend her. I've got quite a bit of LeGuin that I can lend you if you'd like.
