I did get to pick up my plate this morning to put on the new car, but my brain was swimming with the craziness of the last week all over for both myself and others (my parents moving, my sister's dog biting the UPS guy and her being 300 months pregnant, a friend who got stented yesterday, another friend's loneliness and despair, this crazy storm and all of the people with no power, and people dealing with auto accidents).

But then this made me tear up with joy. You absolutely must listen to this:

It was kind of his fault - Cynthia was in the house holding the dog around the collar and asked the guy to hold on so that she could crate him to grab the packages. The poor guy was just trying to help the huge pregnant lady out, so he said "Oh no that's not necessary", and WALKED INTO THE HOUSE with his hand near dog mouth height before my sister could yell no.

He's cool with it - they are paying his copays/drugs and hoping it ends there. Hugo is caught up with shots and didn't do anything bad, so they'll pay a fine and hopefully it will end there.

My family is truly the Griswolds, though folks don't see it sometimes until this kind of thing happens. :)
