He's entered a few paintings into a collection which will be shown at a gallery in NH around September 11th (with artwork about last year's September 11th). He's made it into the show (they were going to select only so many entries) so I'll be going up to check out the exhibit after it opens (since I won't be able to get out there on opening day, September 11th, which falls on a Wednesday).

It was fun, I took it out of the box and she sat on the ground for 10 minutes looking at it. She kept saying all kinds of artsy schmartsy compliments about it, and wanted to see more stuff. I am happy to just have one in there, will be a bitchen groovy time, gotta go buy a pipe and suede dinner jacket !!! 'Famous as F- - - ' here we come !!

The BBC will be there during the show and some known singer (never heard and didn't ask) will introduce and sing a song she composed, state politicians, etc to speak. I have to practice up on my 'Buffy darling....you look fab !!!!' and my 'Biff....I thought you were Arnold Swartzenager for a minute....polo has been good to you !!!!' "

My Dad is a silly-head! As far as the "Famous as F___" reference; a few of my friends used to say my Dad was punk as fuck and I thought he'd get a kick out of it so I told him (despite the fact that we don't usually use that F word around my house). He was pretty amused and brings it up from time to time.

Meeting up in NH for some hanging out and then to the gallery would be neat (the place is either in Manchester or Nashua, can't remember). I'll keep you posted!

Oh, did you make it to Ceremony last night? I *thought* you were going but I didn't see you (though we were old fogeys and left early).

I was even an older fogey. I had met some friends for dinner earlier that night (Nikos is Coolidge Corner rocks) and as I was walking home, I was so beat from work that I nearly walked into a lightpost. I took that as a sign to go home, pack and try to sleep.

Basically work is going to be killer the next few weeks, and it was yesterday where I realized just how bad it will be.

On the bright side, I introduced Nepenthe to Cowboy Bebop and she loved the show :-)

DOOD! I love Cowboy Bebop :) We have the first few disks on DVD.

Let me know if you need boxes for moving . . . after this weekend I should have a bunch more unpacked so they are yours for the taking, if you are interested :)

so do I! I know Nepenthe typically hates anime, but this came on and she got into it! I was very happy.

as for the boxes, I'm getting a ton from work (we hired 5 new people so I'm getting many boxes) so I think I'm good there. thanks though!
