dancerjodiIts not like I didn't get to bed early enough last night to be here an hour early today - but the sleep is still heavy on my eyes. Here's hoping that the Earl Grey will assist in waking me up a bit before I meet with my new Manager in an hour.
Today is the day we're having our home inspection; I'll be leaving work two hours early to meet up with B and my Dad and head out to Framingham. We each will have our tasks - I'll be surveying the house and perhaps measuring and counting windows, B will be snapping photos, Dad will be surveying the kitchen to see what would be entailed in remodeling (we went over yesterday to check out the 2 kitchen's worth of free oak cabinets that he collected from some remodel job), the inspector will be, well, inspecting. And our broker will be there to let us in the door (and probably cross his fingers that all goes well so he'll be done with us and can get his commission). I'm excited about getting IN the place again . . . even driving by the outside with Nepenthe and Cannongrrl on Saturday didn't make it seem real.
Where the hell did spring go? Its cold and rainy today and by all accounts on NPR its going to continue through the week. Perhaps the grapefruit on my desk will make me feel like I'm in Florida.
I was hoping to go to Ceremony tonight since its been a while but the combination of homework and a Red Sox game are making me think that it won't happen. I miss going out dressed up and dancing - it was lots of fun doing it on Friday (and amusing how many people were shocked with the outfit that I left the house in). I mean hey, it was "Burlesque", wasn't it? It got a flier from the B.R.A. people and can't wait to see their next show in late May. We saw them a while ago and had a blast!
One thing's for sure, its too damned quiet here at 7:23 on a Monday morning. I need to remember to bring in some music to amuse me during SPSS coding and running.
