This is coming out on Blu Ray at some point, and is a movie I will buy. This had such a hold on me, I think because I was around the age of the actors at the time (and, the age of the characters).

I can't remember if I read the novella or saw the movie first, but both had an impact on me. I can remember the poster I had from "Teen Beat" magazine, with all the boys on it that I hung on my wall.

Yep, I think this will need to be added to the collection. And what a moving blog about the reunion experience.

i love that movie. but even today, i have to turn away during the pie-eating barf story. that whole scene just grosses me out!!

i still can't get over how ... um ... talented Jerry O'Connell turned out. ;)

I used to love this movie when i was a kid. I remember i watched it on tv in brazil, hidden from my mom of course hahah and closed my eyes when they showed he dead boy... I may have watched it 20 times and i always closed my eyes hahahah

That is such a great movie, it seems weird it is one of the few Stephen King stories to make a good movie!

I read about this in the Sunday Globe, a new commentary track was done by the cast recently, and there was quite a bit about River Phoenix, of course.
