I've wondered about that. I've been reading books to Bram (and making a point to read stories about girls as well), and he's certainly going to be exposed to a lot of geek stuff as he grows up. Brainwashing is a good term, and in general, I'm resistant to the idea that someone should be fully, 100% invested in any community or group, because that tends to cut you off from other things. I can't imagine writing fiction without doing work here at Norwich or being interested in Geology, for example.
And, it's awesome for Mina to be interested in comic books and Star Wars. I can't wait to see if she'll get a tiny stormtrooper outfit to show the boys up!
