Art art art!
Dec. 31st, 2001 08:04 amThis was wonderful: http://www.decordova.org/decordova/decordova/exhibit/terrorsmain.htm . It was neat to see some more work by an artist who we've seen some things from before at http://cvb.drawbridge.com/ .
I really liked this exhibit (funny, how I was talking about my collecting of children's books yesterday - now I have a few more to add to the list to pick up): http://www.decordova.org/decordova/decordova/exhibit/whatunderbed/whatsmain.htm .
Funny thing, when we were looking at some books related to these two exhibits in a sitting area, B found a copy of http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/exchange-glance/Y01Y2759446Y7803383/qid=1009804453/sr=1-1/002-9821950-8870436 (I had forgotten about this exhibit at the ICA) - we found the photo by Dethany and a photo of a couple of ex RHPS people, weird.
After a nice lunch we headed to the Sackler to catch the last day of this: http://www.artmuseums.harvard.edu/exhibitions/sackler/sensuousandsublime.html . Though it was interesting it was a TEENY exhibit. I didn't know that admission to one museum would get you admission to the other three; I wish we had given ourselves more time so that we could have walked around The Fogg a bit (mmmm, Rossetti!).
The highlight of our day was our first trip to Hootenanny where I found a glittery Motley Crue "Shot at the Devil" t-shirt (yee-haw)! I am easily amused :)
And now I'm back at work for a short day before our New Year's eve festivities. I'm wavering between a party or a more quiet night home in front of the TV with B, possibly those crazy people upstairs and some Chinese Food.
********
And to leave you with some Feelgood music:
I'm a wolf screamin' lonely in the night
I'm a bloodstain on the stage
I'm a tear in your eye
Been tempted by the lie
I'm a knife in the back
I'm rage
Well I'm a razor to the knife
Oh lonely is our life
My head's spinnin' round and round
But in the seasons of the wither
Ya stand and deliver
Be strong
And laugh and
Shout, shout, shout
Shout at the devil
