Its Friday, its Dita day, its not snowing anymore, whoot!

Although, it did take me 2 hours to get to work today due to some accident around the Weston tolls on the Pike. Its a good thing that the meeting I had to attend with http://www.partners.org/ about our contract with http://www.harvardpilgrim.org/ started at 8:30.

It was interesting to see what the various goals we have to achieve to be a part of the contract are (good thing we're at about those levels anyway). One of them is to have a certain ratio of Chlamydia tests done for girls aged 16-20 that are seeking gyn care. I guess its a new http://www.ncqa.org/Programs/HEDIS/ measure so its one that providers and insurers will be paying more attention to. Its also interesting to see our pharmacy data and see how easy it would be for the docs to save more $ (and, save their patients $ in the form of less co-pays) if they just wrote more generic prescriptions. One or our top prescribed drugs is Percoset - one of the docs joked about hearing of some patients asking for it when they really could have just done fine with an Advil (and then selling it). Oh the crazy world we live in :)

I picked up the new CD by http://www.evanescence.com/ (requires flash) yesterday and I'm LOVIN' it! With the traffic last night and this morning I've listened to the thing three times already. I'm wondering if they may be a Christian group, one of the songs makes several reference to God, one reference to Christ and lots of references to salvation. Either way, I think she's got a neat voice (similar to Sarah McLachlan, only not as rich). There's also some neat things in the music from electronic sounds, to a guy that sounds like Vernon Reid (in 1 song) to rock-star guitar solos and 1 song that reminded me of Queensryche. This CD was my treat to myself this week (in addition to finally picking up the Lost Highway soundtrack on CD, I had the tape, and ordering Shock Treatment).

Now I'm off to tie up some lose ends on a couple of projects (one on MRIs, one on Skilled Nursing Facility services) before a meeting (and then, it will be lunch time - the day half over). Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
