I'm feeling good today. Its like this weekend recharged me or something. B and I had plans on Saturday night but were around the house pretty much the rest of the time running errands, beautifying things and chilling (among other, heh, things - yay for healed ribs and vanished colds).
I woke up this morning feeling more alive than I have in a long time. Perhaps it was time spent outside working our little bit of land on Saturday. While B and Bad Andy assembled our shed floor kit (still need to put the shed up, but got the bulk of work done it seems) I cleaned up stuff in the yard, planted our raspberry bushes and a tulip that my sister gave me for easter, mowed the lawn and pulled out some weeds and spread mulch on the little side strip of grass next to our driveway. Things are looking SO much better.
Next weekend we'll be busy, but I'm thinking each week or weekend I'll try to do a teeny bit to the yard to gradually get it to a point where we don't have to do anything. We've been slowly removing all of the ugly of the previous homeowners and the process has been a lot of fun, and VERY rewarding.
Despite my distaste for our neighborhood we talked again about house stuff this weekend. For our own sanity, to make the most of our money, to get some time out of this house that we've invested so much into - we're staying put for the time being. I guess that will give me a chance to pay down debt and save (and focus on things like grad school) before moving to another place.
I'm off to get some water, have a nice day all!
