Its Wednesday, that means we're halfway to the weekend peoples. Hang in there! There is also rumor that we may make an appearance at Man Ray tonight (Brian expressed interest earlier in the week).

Last night's class was nice. As was coming home to a yummy dinner made by the hubby. As was getting the homework for 9/23 done before bed last night. If I do more reading during lunch today, after class on Thursday and after work on Friday I should have a homework free weekend. I'm really lovin' this! Maybe I'll even get some sewing done too . . . I want to start working on my nephew's Jedi robe.

On Friday we're going to see Underworld. Brian and Bratty are going to go get tix during work on Friday at wherever its playing in the Burlington/Woburn area. If anyone wants to join us you're on your own getting tix and getting there, but I'll post where and when we'll be if people want to meet up.

This weekend is also the Freedom Rally. If you're a fan of the Dresden Dolls or want to see me in Rawk-Chick mode during Waltham's set check it out. I know the weather is to be crappy, but unless the City of Boston shuts it down the rally will happen no matter what happens in the sky. I mentioned to Brian last night, that this may take me to a new level of Waltham fandom (I don't think I've seen them or any previous incarnations of their bands in the rain before . . . it wasn't too rainy at the Ashland show).

Here's the info (and its free, dammit!): http://www.masscann.org/rally.htm

And this weekend Brian and I will take back our basement again - man is that thing a pit! We need to clean it all, Brian has to once and for all set up his workbench/work area and organize the tools. And perhaps *gasp* we'll even set up the weight machine that's been in pieces down there since we moved last June. We'll end the eve with anime with James.

I know I know, I live one exciting life ;)

I just bid on my first E-bay auction, we'll see how it goes.

Its something for the Episode I Battle Amidala Outfit :)

I also spent some time checking out the Handmaiden Threads on the costuming boards on theforce.net. Man, its nice having it as a resource. Its also interesting seeing the range of fans and how obsessed and detailed some can be, while others are pretty lazy. My guess is that I'm somewhere in the middle.

I must get that dress form soon (but I won't start working on a pattern until I'm done with my nephew's Jedi Robe).

It will take a while to research and get this thing done, but I'm excited about it (even if there are 10 million other Padmes out there with this outfit as one person bitched about on the list, geesh). I love the color and texture of the outfit . . . some day it will be mine :)

Hmm

I guess John Ritter's show will go on without him: see here

Since it was conceived as a comedy this will change the show quite a bit (the characters will be reacting to the death of their on-show Dad). I'm wondering if it will keep its popularity.

This reminds me of with Mr. Hooper died and how the Children's Television Workshop handled it in a similar way, only they used it as an opportunity to teach kids about dealing with the death of a loved one.

Heh,
