Sunday Stuff
Mar. 14th, 2004 04:53 pmIts been a low-key weekend. On Friday we watched "Clash of the Titans" over BBQ food with a bunch of friends. On Saturday we took some pics in our current and old hoods (will post links later), poked around in Salem a bit, and had a Schmoopy night at home watching "Parenthood" and "Fast times at Ridgemont High" (both of which we now own, yay). We weren't up for the party we were invited too - too tired, not enough time with each other, and not feeling particulary old-school goth at the moment (someday we'll make one, someday).
We also picked up (thanks to a gift card from my brother) the whole Sleepaway Camp movie collection (parts 1, 2, 3 and footage from 4 that they started making and never completed)! At some point we'll do a viewing day or night for these beauties. These movies rocked my 14 year old metal-chick, horror movie obsessed world ("Oh I'm a happy camper. I love to drink and fuck. And if you pay me money on my titties you can suck") ;)
Today we looked at a house. The silly thing is, its right behind the apartment we used to live in. Its also down the end of a driveway (easement) that belongs to the house that my great-aunt lived in and sold 2 years ago (she inherited it from my great-grandparents that used to live there when my Dad was a kid). The other funny thing - my great-uncle (my Dad and his cousins used to call him "Uncle F-in Jimmy" because "Fuck" was his favorite word) and his wife and kids used to actually live *in* this house we looked at today:

Its small, wasn't bad, convenient area, cheap for Waltham. Though we're not desperate yet (needed a lot of cosmetic work and had some old wiring). We'll keep our eye on it. We're really moving ahead with this selling thing in the next couple of weeks, weird! If you know anyone wanting to buy a house in downtown Framingham for around $315k let me know :)
