The bag lady
Mar. 24th, 2004 10:17 amI always ending up leaving my house with a lot of things in the morning. I have my backpack-purse, a school bag, a bag of clothes to change into (for either after work to class or to dance class). I always bring a lunch so I have that with me too sometimes in a purple foam lunchbox (unless it fits in another one of my bags).
I'm not much of a bag lady mentally though. I tend to be really anal and get rid of things I'm not using. I also tend to not buy things unless I really, really need it. I am really frustrated each morning as I carry stuff out to my car, in to the office, back to the car, to school or dancing, and back home again. Somehow too - the bags seem to group from the time I leave my house in the morning to when I return late at night.
Someday I'll have just the backpack-purse. It will fit a paperback, a bottle of water, and my essentials. OK, and the purple lunchbox is OK too. I dream of a day that I can remove the literal baggage from my life.
I only have 7 weeks of class after this one iirc and then I'll have the summer off. I cannot wait!
