We went last night (after getting errands done) to check out a documentary at the Regent Theater of the creation of http://www.milescopeland.net/bellydance/home/ . One of the performers was there (Kaeshi) to perform before the movie. She was beautiful and inspiring!

As always happens when I see a performance, I think "maybe I should go back". Seeing my old teachers and classmates does that too. They asked me to come back and join their performance troupe, perhaps in the next session (to start in April, though they said "show up anytime").

Do I want to get myself into this? Do I want to commit to taking 3 dance classes every week (plus, paying for them)? Its sure exercise, and I love it. But . . . I'm nuts! :) Also, I love the dance, but hate the politics. It seems in our scene its hard to remove them from each other. I'll figure it out. In the meantime I'll enjoy the music, and the movement, and the shiny from afar.

1. What is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you?
Brian's done a lot of little things here and there, so there isn't a #1. The one that sticks out the most at the moment though due to its recentness, is how he killed himself this past Xmas to try and get all of my gifts in Waltham (given my obsession with the place, and that we had finally come "home").

2. Who was your first love?
Blackie on General Hospital (John Stamos). I was 3 years old (or something like that).

3. Chocolates, flowers, or something else?
Whatever is appropriate (I'm much a person that prefers the sentiment/effort behind something over the something, so though I like chocolates and flowers (or the other traditional things, jewlerly, whatever) I don't want them if they aren't natural for the giver.

4. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Nope. Now attraction, that's something different entirely!

5. What do you have planned for this Valentine's Day?
Nothing. Its a Monday, so I know I'll be at work that day. Beyond that, its just another day . . .
