I had my annual exam today. Lab results will come back in 10 days or so, but I have for the moment a clean bill of health. I love the NP who I see for this each year - I wish she could be my PCP. She told me I need to drink more milk, keep working on adding veggies/fruit to my diet, and will let me know what the results of my cholesterol test are. My goal is to be back at my normal weight at next year's exam (I gained 10 lbs between 2003 and 2004 and didn't have great luck getting it off by 2005, *fscking grad school cutting into my workout time*). At least maintaining over the last year is better than gaining more, though I'm still not happy about it all. I've had 6 months post school to at least make some progress. I think I go back and forth a few pounds, but I've got to put in the effort to make it stick (or not, as the case may be).

Workwise, I'm stuffing 400+ envelopes with materials on EMR. We're doing an EMR "White Paper" mailing of materials that have taken a couple of months to pull together. It include recommendations of EMR products, info on prices, info on how to apply for a grant program we've put together for our docs, and info on a central server model the hospital has proposed for it. I didn't get my MA to stuff envelopes of course, but someone's got to do it. Sometimes I'm thankful for mindless envelope stuffing; its just what one needs when things have been crazy.

Have a great day all! I'm looking forward to ballet tonight (despite the temp/humidity), since it does the body good.
