Work has been a bit odd lately, a combination of busy and frustrating. More to say on this, but it would be easier in person :)

I walked again last night, this time faster and longer (ooh baby!), about 40 minutes. I found a good route that I can stick to and easily lengthen as I get faster. I also ran into a woman that lives on my parent's street who's been a neighborhood walker for decades - I should have expected that! It was much colder this week, but silk long underwear under my clothes and a fleece hoodie did wonders. Next time, I'll remember the scarf so that my face is kept warm (the hood and ear-covering headband didn't cut it.

We made a "white chili", which was basically a spicy chicken soup from the Penzey's "One" magazine 2 issues back. YUM! It was one of their 'pirate' recipes (quick and simple to pull together) and we'll definitely make it again. After dinner and hitting Hannaford we settled into the den to watch Evil Dead 1 in celebration of Ash Wednesday (R, its the first time since I've known you that I've remembered to do this). The cheese is so good!

We should be by goffee tonight, will see Ultraviolet on Friday with NEG folks, Saturday is up in the air (anyone going to Dark Intentions?) and on Sunday we'll be at the ABC pre-Oscars party. Busy busy! I'm hoping to get some small things done around the house though.

As the weather gets closer to being warmer I'm definitely inspired to work on the house! Read more... )

So, I wonder if our house is a folk/national victorian:

The description and time period fits: http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=204&pos=0

I definitely want to do some more research on these. I also want to take a day off of work at some point to heat to city hall and research the old building records and plans of the house to see what the original setup of the rooms was (we know a lot of funky things have been done since then).
