Happy Summer All!
We picked up a more powerful air conditioner for our den last night and my sexy husband installed it. We had a really nice one that we bought years ago for the Shaghaus living room that we took to Framingham but had permanently installed in our Den there (our stupid windows wouldn't allow a normal installation). We moved to Waltham in the summer or 2002 and left the AC there, but never bought a new higher powered one, so the last two years have had a weeny 6000 btu baby that wouldn't cut it (Brian used to use in Framingham in his computer room - our windows were long and skinny and normal ACs wouldn't fit in them). Now we'll have cool air in the den for the bunnies (and cats if they choose to go in there) and for us for TV watching, fans all over the house on ceilings and in windows, and a small AC in Brian's computer room. Not bad!
The cats have taken to hanging out on our dining room table. I think its cool on the wood under the ceiling fan. We have a floating candle bowl there that Mal likes to drink from and he's been chewing on (he's teething! our baby is teething!). Whenever Mal drinks water, he first puts each paw in the bowl to stir it around. I've had cats all of my life and had never seen this before and thought it weird, but I guess its something some cats to do make it more like running water (or so says the intorweb). Then he'll walk all over the table when he's done drinking, so at any point there are cat paw prints all over our dining room table!
I really need to give the house a good cleaning on Sunday (and, try and get my grandmother's bureau sanded so I can just poly it and be done with it). I swear, the cats are such spaz monkeys and are all over the house its like we have kids making a mess of the place!
WW is going well. I was 2 points over yesterday but that's mostly due to having not hit the supermarket and working with what we had around the house (and, we've got those flex points to work with anyway). This week is nuts with plans and errands, so I'm not sure when I'll get some exercise in. I still haven't decided if I want to join the gym (for the iron, mostly) or to try doing things at home. I can do crunches, pushups and lunges with dumbells anywhere. Hrm . . .
