Last night was the second Monday in a row that Brian and I headed to Barnes and Noble to browse and enjoy tea in their cafe. We didn't plan it that way, but it seemed to be the best thing to get us out of the house for a bit, challenge the mind a bit (via the books we were browsing) and spend some time together for little money (around $3 for two teas). I still really miss our old Border's Cafe in Framingham, but this seems to be the next best thing.

I spent some time flipping through some of Sarah Susanka's books, that I had read about here http://www.angieslist.com/AngiesList/membermenu/publication/Stories/2006/sizematters.asp . Home Improvement rambling )

Tuesday Dance class #2 tonight - shakey shakey! :)

I don't own a Megadeth t-shirt, but they are one of my favorite metal bands so this must be rectified (its the same for Maiden, but I'll fix that next week).

I was going to fix this at Friday's show, but the women's style shirt is $35! Its cool:
http://www.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/product?sku=MDT39538 . But its $35. Given that I give myself a $50 'fun stuff' budget each week, that takes a big chunk out of it.

Other shirts they have include last year's:
Scorpion $20: http://www.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/product?sku=MDT36733
Explosion $15: http://www.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/product?sku=MDT37040

And, I'd be paying something for shipping on top of that.

The angel shirt *is* cool, but I think I'd prefer a baby doll. The image on the scorpion shirt is neat (and I do like that song), but So Far So Good So What is my favorite Megadeth album ever, and the explosion shirt goes with that.

What do you other metalheads think? If I go with the explosion shirt assuming $5 for shipping, that still gives me $30 to play with this weekend. It would mean I could also get the Delovely soundtrack from iTunes, and the new CVB Book http://comeinsidekitty.com/

I think I may have answered my own question. A metal shirt, music and a cool gothy kid's book is a much better deal than just a metal shirt!
