The Gardner Museum is getting an update. Its still one of the most peaceful and inspirational places I think I've been, but I'm not sure if that's due to the lovely surrounding entirely or my memories wandering through there when I was going to college next-door (and had free admission whenever I wanted).

Our bus tickets for NYC (Peter Pan) are ordered. They cost more than Fung Wah but we're guaranteed a seat, can grab the bus near our house (Riverside T) and it will save us a ton of money on gas and parking. Once in the city we won't need our car anyway. I've decided to bring my Leia rather than any imperial costume due to size (we'll have stuff from other genres along the way too - I wonder if there will be any other visitors?). I can't wait to go - we leave a week from Wednesday!
In completely vain news, I'm not nuts about the oil cleaning method. The castile was working better it seems (my skin is *more* dry now), so I'm going back to that. I'm also trying some new moisturizers from Burt's Bees.
Strangely, Jayne gained 2 pounds since his vet visit last month! They were concerned about his drop and suggested we monitor them monthly. I know our bathroom scale isn't the most accurate thing in the world, but wow!
I ordered a clothesline drying pole from Amazon yesterday, the one reviewed here http://backyardfarming.blogspot.com/search/label/going%20green . I also bought one of those nifty power strips (from the terrapass site) that we can plug our TV and stereo components into so that when we're out of the room the cable box can stay on but everything else can be shut off. I'll be curious to see what if any kind of savings we get. For the most part everything in the house is unplugged save for things like alarm clocks, major appliances (stove, fridge, washer and dryer, dishwasher) and the stuff in our entertainment center. I know its not what the huge power draw is, but its something. We'll definitely look at insulating our house when we can.
We've been on the waiting list for the Chestnut Farm Meat CSA and I got an e-mail from them last week that our turn should be up in May. Yay for local, untainted and unabused meat! :)
